Thank all of you who helped make our 2010 event a huge success! We are already starting to plan for 2011. Mark your calendars for January 17th, 2011. Next year looks to be even bigger, so register early to assure a place at the table. Oh, the food was great too! I hear Mary Meinig is leading the votes for the Baxter Award! Nominate your favorite social worker, community supporter and politician so we can all honor them!

Children should not have to dream of having a loving family and the basic supports they need to grow up; yet in Washington State thousands of foster children do just that. Held on January 17th, 2011 (National Day of Service and Awareness) Night of 1000 Dreams is a combined effort to raise funds and awareness of the needs of these children, and to celebrate the dedicated community members who open their homes to them each day. 
 
Not everyone can be a foster parent, but we can come together to help assure that all children have a safe and nurturing family experience while in the hands of Washington State citizens. Together we can show respect and support to the families choosing to provide such experiences by partnering with them to assure each child’s dream comes true.
