We Are Family Day with the Mariners

The Seattle Mariners and Children’s Administration are teaming up once again for the 9th annual We Are Family Day, Sunday, May 7, at Safeco Field in Seattle.

The event recognizes foster and adoptive parents and relative caregivers, as well as the social workers, agencies and community partners who support them. In honor of National Foster Care Month and Kinship Care Day in May, please join us for this great, fun-for-all at the ball park.

The ball park opens at 11:00 a.m. and We Are Family participants will be able to enter the park at that time.

Last year We Are Family Day nearly split the seams of Ellis Pavilion, where the morning pre-game event has been for eight years. With 600 in attendance, the Mariners are providing the largest meeting area at Safeco – short of the ballfield itself!

This year’s morning recognition event will begin at 11:20 a.m. in the “Outside Corner,” which is located atop Safeco Field’s rotunda on the 300-level above the home plate entrance on Edgar Martinez Blvd. and 1st Ave. South.

The Outside Corner is an uncovered outside area, so please remember to wear your jackets. In the event of rain, the morning event will be moved to its previous location, Ellis Pavilion, on the street level on 1st Ave. South (next to the third base entrance).

Come join us to help recognize our caregivers and for some great giveaways. The Mariner Moose will be on hand to entertain kids and help with free door prizes.

Afterward, at 1:10 p.m., the Mariners play the Texas Rangers. The Mariners have again made reduced-price tickets available for caregivers, kids, staff, CPAs, tribes, community partners, along with our family and friends.

Tickets are only available at the Mariners website: www.Mariners.com/wearefamily    promo code:  WEAREFAMILY

Ticket prices are:

- $13 for 300-level seating.

- $31 for 100-level seating.

Tickets sold out last year for the game, so don’t miss out this year – get your tickets early!
